"MAYDAY-MAYDAY-MAYDAY, We are going down!" came the call over the radio from Captain Lawrence Murphy on the
vessel Little Murf, a 42 foot Scallop boat out of Ocean City, MD.
Upon hearing the coordinates of the vessel in distress, we knew we were just a mile south of the stricken
vessel. Immediately the crew of the Snow Goose began to clear the lines and raise the outriggers. When we
arrived on scene, the crew of the Little Murf were safely in their survival suits hoping that we could get them
off before the boat sank. With the seas at 3 feet the Snow Goose came along side and Bill and Mikey were able
to help the crew come aboard. Minutes later the stern of the Little Murf went under in seconds with just about
10 feet of the hull showing above the surface.
